Matthew Jones

Matthew Jones is an adjunct professor in the Tarrant County College system in Dallas-Fort Worth. He holds his MFA and MA from the University of Dallas and is a current artist in residence at the Cedars Union art incubator in Dallas, Texas. Originally from rural Ohio, Jones identifies as a nature enthusiast. His work is an embodiment of his critical gaze as he weighs his love of the environment with the general disconnection endemic of contemporary culture. Jones has had eleven solo exhibitions, one duo exhibition, has exhibited internationally, and has participated in over 80 group exhibitions.
